There are plans by retired Inspector General of Police, IGP Solomon Arase who is the current chairman of Police Service Commission (PSC) to forcefully retire four Deputy Inspector General (DIGs) from the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).

In a classified information released by PIDOMNIGERIA and seen by VerseNews on Sunday, the alleged servicing DIGs are DIG Dan Mallam, DIG Hafiz Inuwa, DIG Bode Adeleke and DIG Moses Jitoboh.

The source added that the affected DIGs have more years to serve in the Force. It added that the personnel are course mates of the current Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun and some are his juniors.

The source noted that despite the push from Arase the IGP has refused to effect the move.

“Classified information !!!
There is a clandestine plan that is being orchestrated by some powerful persons through the current chairman of the Nigerian police @PoliceNG service commission (PSC) Retired IGP Solomon Arase, to prematurely retire four serving DIG’s from the Nigerian police.

“They are…
DIG Dan Mallam
DIG Hafiz Inuwa
DIG Bode Adeleke
DIG Moses Jitoboh

“This impunity must not be tolerated. You can’t just wake up one morning to retire officers who have not attained their retirement age of 60, or their 35 years of service. Some of these officers are course mates of the current IGP Kayode Egbetokun, and some are his juniors.

“So what is the rational to retire them prematurely, when the current IGP is still in office.
You can’t retire people who have till 2024, 2025 up to 2029 just like that, at this point where Nigeria as a country is facing serious security challenges, as a result of lack of manpower.

“Solomon Arase and all those pushing this impunity should be informed that the public is now aware of their clandestine plans.

“Despite the pressure, the current IGP has refused to effect the plan at the moment. But the public and tax payers should be informed about this ugly development, just in case,” the source stated.
