The Rivers State House of Assembly has requested the DSS to investigate Chief Judge Justice Simeon Amadi over alleged age falsification.
Speaker Martin Amaewhule stated that the allegations warrant a formal probe to determine their validity.
The political crisis in Rivers State has deepened as the State House of Assembly has called on the Department of State Services (DSS) to investigate the Chief Judge, Justice Simeon Amadi, over alleged age falsification.
VerseNews reports that during Thursday’s plenary, House Leader Hon. Major Jack presented documents suggesting discrepancies in the Chief Judge’s official records.
Deputy Speaker Hon. Dumle Maol stated, “These documents before me simply say that the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Simeon Amadi, falsified his age in service. Mr. Speaker, that is a very serious allegation, and I do hope that this House takes legislative notice.”

Following deliberations, Speaker Martin Amaewhule remarked, “The documents are only suggesting a case of age falsification by the Honourable Chief Judge of the state, Simeon Amadi. What it means is that there has to be an investigation to that effect.”
The House then voted in favor of writing to the DSS to conduct an investigation and report its findings.
