- Ryan Taylor alleges that DJ Cuppy once told him she “didn’t like Nigerians” and discouraged him from hiring them — a claim that has sparked heated online debate.
British YouTuber and boxer Ryan Taylor has sparked controversy after claiming that his ex-fiancée, Nigerian DJ and billionaire heiress DJ Cuppy, once told him she “didn’t like Nigerians.
Speaking on the Ladders Podcast, Taylor alleged that Cuppy discouraged him from hiring Nigerian staff for his business and often made remarks expressing discomfort with her fellow citizens.
“Is it weird that I told you she didn’t like Nigerians? She came into my business and didn’t even want Nigerian staff,” Taylor claimed.
He further recounted incidents where fans allegedly approached Cuppy in public asking for money.

“We used to walk in the mall and people would run from their counters to ask her for money,” he said.
The couple got engaged in November 2022 but reportedly split by mid-2023 after unfollowing each other on social media. Reflecting on their breakup, Taylor said, “Everything happens for a reason. No regrets, lesson learned.”
