The Federal Government has dismissed reports alleging it paid a huge ransom and released militant commanders to secure the freedom of abducted schoolchildren.
Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Musa, has ruled out any form of negotiation or ransom payment to terrorists, warning that such actions fuel insecurity.
The federal government has answered the question if ransom was paid for the realase of the 137 abducted schoolchildren.
