Nigeria Crashes out of AFCON

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria has lost their ticket to final in the Under 20 African Cup of Nations (U20 AFCON) after a disappointing 0 – 1 defeat from Gambia at the Cairo International Stadium in Egypt

VerseNews Sports reports that The Young Scorpions recorded their lucky win after a seven munities goal from Haruna Rasid Njie.

Nigeria was in a good position to win the game after several attempts but failed out of luck when they couldn’t score an awarded penalty kick.

The Gambian strikers and defenders made it more difficult for the flying eagles to a record eighth title win.
