These newly appointed RECs are intended to serve within the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The list of appointed RECs includes individuals from various states, and their selection has raised some controversy, with concerns about potential party affiliations and ties to prominent politicians.
The newly appointed RECs are Etekamba Umoren (Akwa Ibom) Isah Shaka Ehimeakne (Edo) Oluwatoyin Babalola (Ekiti) Abubakar Ahmed Ma’aji (Gombe) Shehu Wahab (Kwara) Prof. Mohammed Yelwa (Niger).
