The United States has expressed readiness to witness and brings back the call by any individual to challenge the 2023 General Elections conducted in Nigeria through established legal process.
VerseNews Nigeria reports that this was stated in a statement by released Tuesday, on 21 March 2023 by U.S. Embassy and Consulate in Nigeria.
The Embassy condemned the acts of violent, voter intimidation and suppression in Lagos, Kano, others that took place during the presidential and National assembly elections on Saturday, February 25 and the Governorship and House of Assembly elections conducted on Saturday, March 18.
It holds the Nigeria authority accountable for conducting such a poor election and therefore said a legal process to challenge the election results must not be interfered with by anyone.
