Pastor Tunde Bakere, a former  member and legal adviser at the Deeper Life Bible Church has revealed that he left the church because of their belief and claims towards modern technologies, particularly television.

In a video circulating online, VerseNews reports that Bakere in his illustration said he was told that “Faith comes by understanding the word of God according to Luke 24:45 – “Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scripture.”

He argued through an illustration of a popular television advert “Joy Joy Soap” thatfaith comes by hearing, that you can watch television and you will see Joy, Joy Soap. When you get to stop, you see Joy Soap, you pick it. Now, it is because of what you have been hearing”

“My interpreter said, If you have been looking at the devil’s box, to your body of God, put your shoes, put your shoes. And I corrected him, I said, I didn’t say I put your shoes, I said, television, I move, I move, and he repeated, I put your shoes.

“Bro was behind me, I said, No. It’s television. It’s useful. And the following Sunday, Bro wrote what we call the Sunday Exaltation. And he wrote that, Even if you repair television, you are a child of the devil. I told him time off, I took my Bible and I went to him, relayed the vision that God had showed to me, and I said, I’m living in peace.  So I left. Remember, my story has been living.”

Bakere, who is presently the founded of the Model Parish noted that after he left the church, some members came to bring him back but he stood on his ground .

This Online News Platform gathered that this revelation is coming after the founder of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor Kumuyi gave a prophecy about President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his newly sworn-in Ministers.

During a press briefing heralding the upcoming Global Crusade with Kumuyi, a 6-day spiritual gathering scheduled to take place from August 24th to 29th in Osogbo, Osun State, he conveyed his belief that the crusade would be marked by miracles and resolutions to life’s challenges.

Kumuyi charged Nigerians to forget the past, saying he believed this is a new day and “I believe; we all believe that we’re going to see new things for our country through our President and through the members of the cabinet.

“Good things will happen. What we’re saying is that God will perform a miracle in the heart of our leaders and their hearts will be towards the people and the wisdom to lead us and do everything that will benefit us as a country, the Lord himself will do in their hearts.”

Kumuyi added that “You’ll see those ministers that have been chosen in the cabinet are not new people that have never done anything. If you look at them one by one, you’ll see the good things they’ve done either as state governors of the past or as other ministers and I would say they have been carefully chosen.”

“If we support and accept them and if we are not criticising their every step, we believe that God will walk through them and use them as instruments to build our nation.”
