A High Court in Makurdi, the Benue State capital, has ordered the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Iyorchia Ayu to stop parading himself as chairman of the party after being suspended for anti-party activities.
VerseNews Nigeria reports that the court gave the order following plaintiff presented by the am member of the PDP, Terhide Utaan from Benue before Justice W. I Kpochi.
Utaan told the court that said following the suspension of Ayu by his Igyorov Ward Exco on Sunday, it is wrong for him to keep up with the office of national chairman and further disunite the party.

Justice kpochi is his judgment ordered Ayu to step aside, pending the determination of the substantive suit which has been adjourned to April 17, 2023 for hearing.
This Online News Media noted that Ayu in a Monday statement by his media aide Simon Imobo-Tswam, argued that only the ward lacked the powers to suspend him.
