Why We Don’t Have Tinubu’s Photos In Our Offices – Alex Otti
Some people alleged that the Governor Alex Otti did not hang President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s portrait in his office because he does not believe in his government.
Abia State Governor, Alex Otti has rejected the claim that the absence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s portraits in offices was a result of his administration’s failure to recognize him as the country’s leader.
VerseNews Nigeria reports that there were allegations that President Tinubu’s portraits are not present in all the State Government offices.
Responding to the allegation, Otti through his special adviser on media and publicity, Ferdinand Ekeoma, said the state government had portraits of the president in some offices but not all, and that the same was true of the governor.
He added that since this is a new administration, few offices feature the governor’s portrait. We’ve ordered additional images and placed orders for some. Politics have no bearing on it.
“On the day the governor met with permanent secretaries, the banquet hall still displayed the former governor Ikpeazu’s photo.
It is unlawful to state that the president who was lawfully sworn in will not be recognized. We don’t believe it is going in that route, and it doesn’t make sense,” Ekeoma said.

He claimed that in order to undermine Governor Otti, the opposition in the state must have funded the media reports to that effect.
Recall that Otti on his official Twitter account shared a photo of himself and the judicial panel in his office was he announced that he constituted a judicial panel that will recover funds and lands misappropriated by the previous administration.
Some Twitter users noted that there are only two portraits in the office. A portrait showing Nigeria’s coat of arms, and another one containing the picture of the governor. This generated different reactions and criticisms from Nigerians.
Some people alleged that the Governor did not hang Tinubu’s portrait in his office because he does not believe in his government. Others described the Governor’s action as disrespect to the Federal Government of Nigeria.
