The presidency has assured Nigerians that the government of President Bola Tinubu remains committed to the welfare of the citizens and residents of Nigeria.

The assurance was given by the Special Assistant to President Tinubu on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, on Monday as he excitedly shared some of the programmes the government is set to implement in the year 2026.

According to him, 2026 promises to be a key year in the history of Nigeria with so many landmark initiatives that will define our future for a very long time, set to kick off under President Tinubu’s administration.

The presidential media aide, therefore, urged Nigerians to support the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu government.

He listed some of the key policies and programmes the Tinubu administration is set to unveil in 2026 to include the commencement of the new tax reforms, recapitalization of commercial banks, national census and others.

Below are the full details:

– The commencement of the transformational Tax Reform Acts, which is expected to enhance Nigeria’s economic competitiveness and grow our revenue base.

– The full recapitalization of commercial banks so they can become more viable and provide the needed support for the economy in terms of capital provision; This is expected to also take the Consumer Credit Scheme to the next level as banks get more involved in provision of credits for everyday consumption.

– The full recapitalization of the Bank of Agriculture in a bid to improve access to capital for farmers across the country and make agriculture a mainstay in our economy.

– National Census that will not only give us an accurate figure of the population but further enhance the database for improved security and economic planning. Data collection will include usage of face recognition, thumbprints and voice recognition technologies.

– Complete transition of our civil service system from a paper-based system to an automated one, thereby enhancing transparency and efficiency.

He therefore urged Nigerians to continue to believe in the Tinubu leadership that is fixated on getting the basics right.

“As patriots who want the best for our country, we must remain focused on this journey of transformation that matters without letting distractors win over our resilience.

“Little challenges here and there like we had this past week will surface but we will overcome it all at the end and the Renewed Hope agenda will become a reality,” he wrote on his 𝕏 account on Monday.
