Mrs Beatrice Ekweremadu, wife of Senator Ike Ekweremadu while testifying on the Organ harvesting trial at the Central Criminal Court of England and Wale, London said ‘family is everything to her’.
VerseNews Nigeria reported couple is accused of plotting alongside one Dr Obinna Obeta to arrange an illegal kidney transplant for their sick daughter Sonia, 25, who is also named as a defendant.
They allegedly conspired to transport a 21-year-old street trader from Lagos to London to harvest his organ.
Giving evidence on the Monday, the mother of four children and a full-time worker in the Nigerian auditor officer said it has been a norm for them to work collective together as a family as to solve a problem.

“Let me paint a picture of one of the things we do as a family: When my first son was at the University of Lancashire studying law he complained about one of the modules, and my husband spent the whole day teaching and guiding him through.”
“What I teach my children is this family, each and every one of us, that’s the only thing we have so if anything is happening to your siblings you have to get on it.
“When something is happening to one of us, one of our siblings, nobody will rest until that is solved.”
Defending her husband, she said her husband is a good mn and despite his populsrity and wealth he don’t any anyone’s food expect the one she prepares at home.
“My husband is a good man and I have come to trust him, he prefers eating my food”, she added
