- Bayelsa Deputy Governor Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo has passed away after collapsing unexpectedly in his office and being rushed to a hospital in Yenagoa.

Bayelsa State Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, has died after collapsing suddenly in his office on Monday afternoon.
Sources said the deputy governor slumped at about 1:30 p.m. and was immediately taken to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Yenagoa. Family insiders later confirmed that he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Eyewitnesses reported that he appeared to be in critical condition as he was rushed into the hospital’s emergency unit.

A source close to him suggested that the incident may have been connected to stress from an intense work schedule, although officials have not released an official cause of death. Multiple sources, however, hinted at a possible cardiac-related complication.
