BREAKING: Kano Election Tribunal Judges Absent In Court, Deliver Judgment Via Zoom
Various individuals, including journalists, lawyers, and party members, have been denied entry into the courtroom.
The judges of the Kano governorship election tribunal are notably absent from the physical court proceedings.
The tribunal is scheduled to deliver a judgment on a petition submitted by the All Progressives Congress (APC) challenging the victory of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf from the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).
VerseNews reports that various individuals, including journalists, lawyers, and party members, have been denied entry into the courtroom.
The Secretariat had previously stated that there would be no live broadcast of the judgment, and journalists allowed into the courtroom were prohibited from using smartphones or cameras.
Security officials had expressed uncertainty about the judges’ whereabouts, suggesting that the proceedings might be conducted virtually.
