JUST IN: Peter Obi Files Appeal On 51 Grounds Against Tribunal Ruling At Supreme Court

Peter Obi has filed the appeal on 51 grounds at the Supreme Court, citing dissatisfaction with the Appeal Court ruling.

VerseNews reported that Peter Obi and the Labour Party (LP) have taken legal action to challenge the outcome of the February 25, 2023, Presidential Election.

They have filed a Notice of Appeal consisting of 51 grounds to contest the decision of the Presidential election petition court.

The judgment from the court upheld President Bola Tinubu as the winner of the election.

Obi and LP argue that the Justices of the court of appeal made a legal error and arrived at an incorrect conclusion.

They assert that the court wrongly determined that the Petitioners failed to specify the polling units where irregularities and malpractices allegedly occurred, as well as the figures of votes affected.

Peter Obi emphasizes that the necessary details related to polling units are included in Spreadsheets and Forensic Analysis Reports, which they have incorporated into their case by reference.
