President Bola Tinubu has appointed Bayo Onanuga, the Chief Executive Officer and Editor-in-Chief of PM NEWS and The NEWS magazine, as his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy.
VerseNews reports that this appointment is part of an effort to enhance coordination and synergy between the Presidency and Federal Ministries.
Onanuga’s appointment is to ensure effective working relationships between the Presidency and various ministries.
Additionally, Ms. Delu Bulus Yakubu has been appointed as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
President Tinubu expressed his well wishes to the new presidential aides in their roles.
Bayo Onanuga, aged 66, previously served as the Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria.
Also, Tinubu has dissolved the former governing board and management team of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA).
A new team has been appointed for a renewable term of four years, in accordance with Section 2(3) of the FERMA Amendment Act, 2007.
President Tinubu emphasizes the importance of integrous and competent service delivery in the sustainable health of growth-enabling infrastructure nationwide.
