- Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has opened up about overcoming decades-long struggles with smoking, alcohol addiction, and chronic pain, describing her transformation as a defining moment of healing and spiritual clarity.

Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has given an emotional and deeply personal testimony at a recent church service led by Pastor Jerry Eze, where she spoke candidly about her journey toward healing, freedom, and renewed faith.
Addressing the congregation, the 40-year-old actress reflected on long-standing battles she said once defined her life but have now been overcome. She revealed that she began smoking at the age of 13, a habit she attributed to early exposure at home, and continued for 27 years before finally breaking free from the addiction.
Dikeh also spoke about her struggle with alcohol, recounting a period when excessive drinking led to repeated blackouts. She told the church that she no longer drinks or smokes, describing her recovery as a major turning point that reshaped her life and outlook.
Beyond addiction, the actress shared testimonies of healing from other personal challenges, including chronic back pain that persisted for nearly two decades. According to her, the pain has completely stopped, a development she described as nothing short of miraculous.

Reflecting on her spiritual journey, Dikeh admitted that she had previously engaged in spiritual practices and worshipped at altars she later realized were not aligned with her true identity. She said she now has greater clarity about her faith and a renewed sense of purpose.
