  • Nicki Minaj has joined the global outcry against the ongoing religiously motivated killings in northern Nigeria, delivering a powerful speech at a United Nations forum where she called for justice, peace, and immediate international attention to the crisis.

American rap superstar Nicki Minaj has added her voice to the rising international demand for an end to the killings and religiously motivated attacks in northern Nigeria.

The multi-award-winning musician delivered a keynote address at a United States Mission to the United Nations conference focused on Combating Religious Violence and the Killing of Christians in Nigeria.

Speaking passionately, Minaj said no individual or group should ever face violence, discrimination, or death because of their faith.

“This isn’t about taking sides. This is about standing up in the face of injustice. It’s about what I’ve always stood for,” she declared.

She emphasized that her message was based purely on humanity, stressing that her stance was moral, not political.

During her remarks, Minaj also thanked former U.S. President Donald Trump for drawing global attention to the crisis in Nigeria and prioritizing the protection of vulnerable communities. She praised Trump’s “leadership on the global stage” and his renewed call for decisive action.

Her comments come amid Trump’s recent warning that the U.S. may take military action if the Nigerian government fails to halt the mass killing of Christians. He also threatened to cut off all U.S. aid to Nigeria and “wipe out” the extremist groups responsible for the attacks.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian government has repeatedly denied accusations of religious persecution, insisting that the nation respects all faiths and is working to address insecurity through security reforms and sustained military engagement.
