Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi delivered a moment to remember on Saturday night as he scored his first-ever international goal for Nigeria and celebrated in iconic fashion during the AFCON 2025 clash against Tunisia.
Ndidi found the back of the net in the Group C encounter, rising highest to head home and extend Nigeria’s lead in a match that ultimately secured the Super Eagles’ place in the knockout stage of the tournament.

The goal marked a personal milestone for the Leicester City midfielder, who has been a mainstay in the national team for years.
Moments after scoring, Ndidi thrilled fans by recreating Nwankwo Kanu’s famous celebration from the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, where the former Super Eagles captain memorably raised his arms in triumph after leading Nigeria to historic gold.
