  • Rita Daniels, mother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has accused her billionaire son-in-law Ned Nwoko of orchestrating the arrest and assault of her children.

A fresh wave of controversy has hit the family of Regina Daniels as her mother, Rita Daniels, has cried out for help following the reported arrest of her children by Regina’s billionaire husband, Ned Nwoko.

According to reports by Intel Region, the arrests come amid an alleged ongoing marital crisis between Regina and her husband.

In a new video circulating on social media, Rita Daniels — who previously accused Nwoko of being financially broke — was seen at a police station, shouting and pleading for the release of her children. She alleged that the billionaire “paid policemen to assault” her children, who have been held for several hours without a warrant.

“Ned Nwoko gave them money to beat my children. They came to arrest my children without a warrant. They have been in detention for more than 7 hours. Nigerians come and help me,” she cried out in the video.

Adding to the tension, Regina’s brother’s wife claimed that her husband, Sweezy Daniels, was taken away to an unknown location.

“As I am talking to you now, they have taken him away from the police station. We don’t even know where he is now. Before they left, they threw like four tear gas. We had to run, and they drove off immediately. We are following them now and it seems they are taking him to Abuja. Nigerians help us,” she said tearfully.

Another, Mummy Sunshine, commented: “This is so sad! I feel sorry for Regina. One thing with all these old men is that they don’t move on — even if they do, they’ll frustrate you first.”

User Prankhottie added: “Ned Nwoko, don’t fight Regina like she’s your fellow man. She didn’t attack you when you called her a drug addict. Be mature!”
