Ahead of the 2023 presidential election scheduled to hold on Saturday 25 February, the 18 presidential candidates from different political parties gathered together to sign the Peace Accord.
VerseNews reports that the event took place on wednesday 22 February at the International Conference Centre in Abuja.
Present at the event are the presidential candidates of the Labour Party, Peter Obi; the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar; the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu; the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore; and the New Nigeria Peoples Party, Rabiu Kwankwaso, among others.
Others present were the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari; the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar; former Heads of State, Yakubu Gowon and Abdulsalami Abubakar; among others.

Sharing some pictures, Peter Obi wrote on his Twitter account wrote let peace reign.
“I just signed the 2nd Peace Accord at the ICC along with the LP National Chairman Barr Julius Abure. Other candidates signed too. Let peace reign.”
The former Lagos State Governor also wrote; “Today I participated in the signing of the Peace Accord for presidential candidates”
