A Nigerian landlord has gone viral after revealing he married his former tenant – who once showed him kindness when his wife repeatedly locked him out for coming home late.

A Nigerian landlord has shared the unexpected twist that led him to marry his female tenant after his then-wife continuously locked him out for coming home late.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), the man identified as @tort_walec recounted a life-changing moment in 2017 when his wife locked him out once again—but this time, his kind-hearted tenant welcomed him in.

“In 2017, my wife locked me outside, but our beautiful, kind-hearted female tenant opened her door for me. In short, she’s not a tenant anymore. We now have three children,” he wrote.

He revealed that his wife had locked him out more than 20 times, which eventually pushed him to walk away from the marriage.

“That was the over 20th time,” he added.
