- Nigerian comedian Carter Efe has explained that his Twitch account was hit with a four-month suspension just days after his viral livestream with Davido, despite no detailed reason being provided by the platform.

Popular Nigerian comedian Carter Efe has confirmed that his Twitch account was temporarily suspended, days after his record-breaking livestream with Afrobeats superstar Davido.
The livestream, held on December 17, 2025, attracted massive online attention and propelled Carter Efe to become Africa’s most-followed Twitch streamer, with over 405,000 followers.
On Monday, the comedian announced that Twitch placed a four-month suspension on his account, citing violations of its Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. However, the platform did not provide specific details regarding the alleged infractions.
The suspension came shortly after Carter Efe overtook other Nigerian content creators, including Shank Comics, and recorded one of the most-watched livestreams on Twitch alongside Davido.

Following the announcement, fans and supporters flooded his social media pages with messages of support, describing him as a “joy giver” and urging Twitch to review and reverse the decision.

While speculation circulated online suggesting that the suspension may have resulted from mass reporting linked to comments or antics during the livestream, claims of additional bans on other platforms were dismissed as false.
The development has sparked disappointment among fans, especially as it coincides with the festive season, with many calling for a swift resolution and Carter Efe’s return to the platform.
