He will then attend a World Economic Forum meeting in Saudi Arabia to discuss Nigeria’s development agenda, accompanied by ministers and officials.
President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to embark on an official visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, departing from Abuja on Tuesday, April 23. This visit comes at the invitation of the Prime Minister of the Kingdom, Mark Rutte.
According to a statement from Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Tinubu will engage in high-level discussions with Prime Minister Rutte and also meet with King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima. Queen Maxima serves as the UN Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development.
During his stay, President Tinubu will participate in the Nigerian-Dutch Business and Investment Forum, focusing on collaborations in agriculture and water management. Additionally, discussions on port management operations will take place, leveraging Dutch expertise in the field.
“While in the Netherlands, the President will participate in the Nigerian-Dutch Business and Investment Forum that will bring together heads of conglomerates and organizations in both countries to explore opportunities for collaboration and partnerships, especially in agriculture and water management towards innovative solutions for sustainable farming practices.
“There will also be extensive discussions with the Dutch officials on port management operations for which they have world-renowned expertise,” the statement added.
Following his visit to the Netherlands, Tinubu will attend a special World Economic Forum meeting in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from April 28-29.
The forum, themed “Global Collaboration, Growth, and Energy for Development,” will gather leaders from various sectors to discuss development agendas. Tinubu aims to advance his Renewed Hope Agenda for Nigeria during these discussions.
Accompanying the President will be a delegation comprising ministers and senior government officials.
