- Nollywood actor Charles Okocha has avenged his 2023 defeat after being declared winner of his celebrity boxing rematch against Portable, who abandoned the fight after the opening round.

Nollywood actor Charles Okocha has defeated controversial street-pop singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, after the singer dramatically walked out of their highly anticipated celebrity boxing rematch in Lagos.
The bout, tagged “Unfinished Business” under the Chaos In The Ring franchise, took place on Friday, July 31, 2026, at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island.
The rematch ended in dramatic fashion after just one round, with officials declaring Okocha the winner when Portable abandoned the contest.
The fight began at a fast pace as both entertainers exchanged punches before Portable grabbed Okocha and slammed him to the canvas.
The referee immediately stepped in to separate the pair, while security personnel and bouncers entered the ring as tensions flared between both camps.
After the opening round ended, Portable unexpectedly walked out of the ring and left the arena, drawing loud boos from sections of the crowd.
Although the singer later returned, insisting that taking Okocha to the ground meant he had won the fight, officials ruled that his decision to leave the ring amounted to abandoning the contest.
Announcing the result, the event host said:
“We do have a decision. And due to the fact that Portable abandoned the ring after the first round, we have a winner, Mr. Algorithm, Charles.”
Because the fight ended prematurely, there was no official round-by-round scoring.
Portable was later seen arguing with members of his team, claiming Okocha had not fought fairly.
The rematch was the latest chapter in the long-running feud between the two entertainers, which began in 2023 over a disputed business deal.
Portable had accused Okocha of failing to pay him millions of naira allegedly owed after an event, while Okocha denied the allegation, insisting there was no formal agreement between them. He, however, maintained that he had transferred ₦5 million to the singer.
Their disagreement quickly spilled onto social media before both men agreed to settle their differences in the boxing ring.
Their first clash, held in December 2023 at Landmark Beach in Lagos, lasted four rounds and ended with Portable emerging victorious.
Okocha disputed the outcome, alleging irregularities during the bout and subsequently activated a rematch clause.
Ahead of Friday’s encounter, both men engaged in weeks of verbal exchanges and intense face-offs.
Okocha trained with heavyweight boxer Moses Itauma, while Portable prepared under boxer Taiwo “Esehpo” Agbaje, with both expressing confidence of victory.
The fight also came just months after Portable suffered his first defeat in celebrity boxing, losing by unanimous decision to comedian Carter Efe in May 2026.
Despite that setback, the singer had confidently predicted another victory over Okocha and claimed he had already received ₦50 million ahead of the bout, with reports putting the total fight purse at ₦150 million.
Friday’s result saw Okocha finally avenge his controversial 2023 defeat, levelling the score between the two entertainers at one victory each, while Portable suffered his second consecutive loss in the celebrity boxing circuit.
