In a surprising turn of events, the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has said he accepts the verdict of the Appeal Court, which upheld the election of Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan as the duly elected Senatorial candidate of her constituency.

VerseNews reports that Akpoti-Uduaghan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) hails from Kogi Central Senatorial District.

Bello, who participated in the National Police Council meeting which confirmed Kayode Egbetokun as substantive Inspector General of Police on Tuesday, at the Presidential Villa Abuja, described Natasha as his sister.

He said it was necessary for him to accept the court verdict to avoid a breakdown of law and order in the state.
