- The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that candidates can now print their 2026 UTME original result slips, a key document required for post-UTME screening and admission into tertiary institutions.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the commencement of printing for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) original result slips.
The announcement was made on Wednesday in a statement issued by JAMB spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin.
According to the examination body, candidates can access and print their original result slips within two hours of the notice.
“The 2026 UTME Original Result Slip will be available for printing within the next two hours today, Wednesday, 17th June, 2026,” the statement read.
JAMB explained that the original result slip contains important details such as candidates’ photographs, national ranking, and other security features required by tertiary institutions during admission processes.
“The Original Result Slip contains the candidate’s photograph, national ranking, and other security features. It is part of the official document required for post-UTME processing and consideration by tertiary institutions,” the board stated.
The examination body added that candidates can conveniently print the slips from any internet-enabled device, including personal computers, smartphones, or accredited business centres.
JAMB urged candidates to carefully verify their information after printing and keep copies for future admission-related purposes.
The 2026 UTME main examination was conducted in April, while a mop-up examination took place on June 13 for candidates affected by technical issues and biometric challenges during the main exercise.
Results from the mop-up examination were released on June 16.

The board had earlier delayed the printing of original result slips to accommodate foreign-based examinations and conclude the mop-up process.
On May 19, JAMB appealed to candidates for patience as it completed the necessary procedures.
With the release of the original result slips, candidates can now proceed with post-UTME registrations and other admission processes for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Several tertiary institutions across the country have already commenced or are preparing to begin their post-UTME screening exercises.
