Owoeye Daniella Jesudunsi, a young Nigerian student from Ekiti State, has emerged as the highest scorer in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination after recording an outstanding total of 372 marks.

Daniella, who sat for the examination in Ogun State, topped the national ranking released by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board during the 2026 Policy Meeting on Admissions to Tertiary Institutions held in Abuja.

Her remarkable performance has drawn widespread attention across the country, especially as she outperformed thousands of candidates nationwide to claim the top position in this year’s examination.

According to details released, Daniella chose University of Lagos as her preferred institution and applied to study Medicine and Surgery.

Her subject breakdown revealed that she scored 98 in English Language, 98 in Chemistry, 94 in Physics, and 82 in Biology, making her one of the best-performing candidates in recent UTME history.

Her success was also celebrated by DailyEd, the tutorial centre where she reportedly prepared for the examination. The centre credited her achievement to discipline, consistency, and a well-structured academic preparation process.

According to the tutorial centre, Daniella stayed focused throughout her preparation and made effective use of the resources provided by her tutors, including interactive online classes, regular timed practice tests, and exam-focused eBooks.

The centre also disclosed that it recorded an impressive overall result, with 90 percent of its students passing successfully and over 200 candidates scoring above 300.
