The Supreme Court has dismissed Emeka Ihedioha’s plea seeking a certificate of return as the lawful governor of Imo State.

VerseNews reports that Ihedioha argued that Governor Hope Uzodinma was not qualified to run for the election as the court had earlier declared Uche Nwosu as the rightful candidate of the APC.

The Supreme Court, in a verdict read by Justice Tijjani Abubakar, described the motion as needless and vexatious, also imposing a cost of N40 million against Mike Ozekhome for bringing the matter before the court.
