- Lagos Fashion Week 2026 enters its main runway programme on October 29, with designers spotlighting African craftsmanship, contemporary style and the future of sustainable fashion.

Lagos Fashion Week 2026 moves into its main runway programme on Thursday, October 29, bringing established designers and emerging labels together for three evenings of fashion presentations in Victoria Island.
VerseNews reports that the five-day event runs from October 28 to November 1 under the theme “CRAFTED: Heritage. Innovation. Circular Futures.”
The main runway shows are scheduled for October 29–31 at the LagosFW Tents, Federal Palace Hotel, with offsite presentations concluding the programme on Sunday.
Organised by Style House Files, this year’s edition places the skills, materials and cultural traditions behind African fashion at the centre of its programme.
Hertunba, Christie Brown and Nkwo feature on opening runway night
Thursday’s published lineup includes Hertunba, For Style Sake, Dust of the Earth, Maliko, Ajanée and Iremide.
Other scheduled participants include Oshobor, Imprint South Africa, Cute Saint, Christie Brown and Nkwo, bringing different approaches to clothing and design into the evening’s presentations.
The runway programme is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m., following daytime activities that include a fireside chat with Lagos Fashion Week founder Omoyemi Akerele.
The lineup extends beyond Nigeria, with Ghana’s Christie Brown and Imprint South Africa among the participating brands. Their inclusion reflects the platform’s wider African focus.
Heritage and innovation shape this year’s theme
The “CRAFTED” theme directs attention to how garments are made, the knowledge behind them and the possibilities for developing those traditions.
It brings heritage techniques into conversation with contemporary design and more sustainable approaches to production.
For the event, craftsmanship is both a creative subject and a business concern: the programme combines collection presentations with discussions involving designers, buyers, media and industry professionals.
Heineken is the title sponsor, with support from NIVEA, Africa Finance Corporation and Lush Hair.
More designer showcases follow on Friday and Saturday
Friday’s published programme includes presentations from Pepper Row, Ibilola Ogundipe, Jermaine Bleu, Abiola Olusola and Bloke, among other labels.
Saturday brings another evening of collections, with Bridget Awosika, Dimeji Ilori, Boyedoe, Israella Kobla and other designers on the schedule.
Fruché, Ejiro Amos Tafiri and Ugo Monye are listed in Saturday’s final runway slot, alongside a Heineken presentation.
These are scheduled appearances rather than reviews of collections already shown.
Fashion businesses also take the spotlight
Beyond the runway, the programme includes discussions about the commercial future of African fashion.
An invitation-only session scheduled for Saturday, “Capital, Craft & Commerce: Scaling African Fashion for Global Demand,” will focus on business growth and international market opportunities.
Other activities across the week include retail presentations, industry conversations and offsite events, giving the programme a broader scope than the runway shows alone.
What attendees should know
The main runway programme continues through October 31, while November 1 is reserved for offsite shows and special presentations.
Access arrangements vary across activities, and some events are invitation-only. Attendees should confirm their admission and the latest schedule for each presentation before travelling to the venue.
With three runway evenings ahead, Lagos Fashion Week 2026 offers designers a platform to present how African craft can inform contemporary collections and commercially sustainable fashion businesses.
