The chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Lagos chapter, Philip Aivoji, has been abducted on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway while returning from a stakeholders meeting in Oyo state.

VerseNews reports that Aivoji’s abduction was confirmed by the State PDP Publicity Secretary, Hon. Hakeem Amode, who called on security agencies and government authorities to intervene promptly and secure the release of the party’s chairman.

The kidnappers have contacted the family and are demanding for N200 million ransom.

The abduction occurred after Aivoji attended a stakeholders meeting convened by Governors Seyi Makinde and Ademola Adeleke in Oyo state.

The PDP spokesman expressed concern over the prevalence of kidnapping in the country and urged the government to take decisive actions to address the issue.

Aivoji’s current whereabouts and any communication from the abductors remain unknown, and the party called on the governments of Oyo, Ogun, and Lagos States, as well as security agencies, to expedite efforts and secure his safe return.
