Popular Nigerian music video director TG Omori has become one of the top trending topics on social media following a controversial post made by content creator Dami Foreign.

The controversy began after TG Omori made a post suggesting he had “unlimited life,” a statement that drew a response from Dami Foreign.

In a tweet that many social media users described as insensitive, Dami Foreign referenced Omori’s previous kidney health challenges, sparking immediate backlash online.

The remark quickly attracted criticism from Nigerians on social media, with many accusing Dami Foreign of crossing the line by joking about a serious medical condition.

Responding to the post, TG Omori wrote:

“You will learn life with this one. Hold on tight to whatever you believe in. 2 Kings 2:23-24.”

The response generated even more reactions, with many users expressing support for the award-winning music video director.

Several social media personalities and online commentators also criticised Dami Foreign, arguing that personal health struggles should not be used as material for jokes or online engagement.

Following the backlash, Dami Foreign reportedly deleted the controversial tweet. However, screenshots had already circulated widely across social media platforms.

The incident also revived discussions about previous controversies involving Dami Foreign, including past online exchanges with singer Tiwa Savage and comments he made about other public figures.

Shortly after the backlash intensified, Dami Foreign issued a public apology to TG Omori and members of the public who were offended by the remark.

The controversy has also brought renewed attention to TG Omori’s health journey.

In 2024, the music video director revealed that he suffered kidney failure in 2023, which he linked to the consumption of adulterated alcohol.

According to Omori, his brother donated a kidney during efforts to save his life. He also disclosed that the transplant process faced significant challenges before he eventually recovered.

Since then, many fans have continued to celebrate his resilience and return to work, making the recent controversy even more sensitive for supporters.

As reactions continue online, many Nigerians have called for greater empathy and responsibility in social media conversations, particularly when discussing health-related issues.
