Nigeria Troops Invade Kidnapper’s Hideout, Rescue 24 Victims In Kaduna
24 kidnap victims consisting of nine men and five women have been rescued by the operation of troops of Sector Four ‘Operation Whirl Puch’, and Special Forces of the 167 Battalion of the Nigerian Army in Tukurua area of Chikun Local Government Area of Kanduna State.
This Online News Media reports that the operation was confirmed in a statement issued by the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr Samuel Aruwan in Kaduna.
According to Aruwan, the Troops overpowered and cleared the kidnappers hideout in a fierce battle that also destroyed several camps.

Aruwan said; “The troops during the operation rescued 14 kidnap victims, comprising nine men and five women.
“The victims were moved to a secure location for debriefing and examination, before being reunited with their families,” he stated.
“Two motorcycles were recovered during the operation,“
The state Governor, Nasir El-Rufai commends the troops a for a successful operation and General Officer Commanding 1 Division and the Force Commander of the “Operation Whirl Punch’’ Maj. Gen Taoreed Lagbaja for his leadership.
