For the purpose of clarity, the Labour Party has stated that its 60-man legal team challenging the outcome of the 2023 presidential election is drawn from different tribes across the Nigeria.
VerseNews Nigeria reports that there have be claims on social media the Labour Party flag bearer, Peter Obi hired lawyers that are entirely from Igbo tribe therefore promoting tribalism
Dismissing the claim, the party in a statement said the legal team had Nigerians across various states in country, not a particular tribe as insinuated in certain quarters of the media.
The legal team includes Dr Livy Uzochukwu (SAN), the PCC Legal Directorate and headed by Victoria Shanti Esq, Yakubu Saleh Bawa ESQ.

Among the list are those that visited the INEC chairman in continuation of reclaiming the mandate of the 25th February elections on Monday and had access to some of the documents as directed by the court.

Confirming the list, the Chief Spokesperson of the LPPCC, Dr Tanko Yunusa when contacted said “yes that was the team that visited INEC to ensure our mandate is reclaimed.”
