- The Mohbad DNA test has reached the sample-collection stage, with specimens taken from the singer’s remains and Liam under court supervision.

DNA samples have been collected from the remains of late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, and his son, Liam, as part of court-supervised paternity proceedings.
The exercise took place on Saturday, October 31, following an application by Mohbad’s widow, Omowunmi Aloba.
Samples from the singer’s remains were collected at Mainland General Hospital, Yaba, before being transported to the Lagos State DNA and Forensic Centre, where Liam’s samples were also obtained.
A court-appointed welfare officer supervised the exercise, which took place with security personnel present.
Omowunmi’s lawyer, identified in the report as Barrister Kabiru, said the date for releasing the results was not yet known. He explained that the parties would receive notification through the court when the findings became available.
The reported development concerns sample collection, not a released DNA result or a court determination of paternity.
The proceedings follow a prolonged dispute involving members of the late singer’s family.
