- Mr Macaroni says he missed lucrative jobs and faced higher expenses while combining his entertainment career with a master’s degree in London.

Nigerian comedian and actor Adebowale Adedayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has revealed that pursuing further education meant turning down profitable work opportunities.
The entertainer recently completed a Master of Arts in Performance (Acting) with distinction at London’s Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.
Speaking with Saturday Beats, he explained that professional commitments had initially delayed his ambition to undertake advanced acting training after his undergraduate theatre arts degree.
Returning to school required travelling between Nigeria, where he filmed and created content, and London for classes.
“So I wasn’t making as much as I was, but I was spending even more,” he said.
Mr Macaroni said the programme introduced techniques he intends to apply across film, stage performances and content creation.
His dissertation examined how Theatre of the Oppressed and Afrocentric performance methods could help audiences respond to sociopolitical oppression.
He described graduating with distinction as particularly rewarding given the responsibilities he balanced throughout the programme.
