Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has undergone successful surgery on his left knee after suffering an injury during Galatasaray’s UEFA Champions League match against VfB Stuttgart.

The operation took place on Saturday, November 7, at Maslak Acıbadem Hospital in Istanbul.

Reports carrying Galatasaray’s medical update said club doctor Yener İnce performed the procedure after examinations identified a loose fragment in the striker’s knee.

The club said Osimhen would remain under its medical team’s supervision, with his condition assessed daily as treatment continues.

No definitive return date has been announced.

The successful operation updates Friday’s announcement that the Super Eagles forward required arthroscopic knee surgery. He had already been withdrawn from Galatasaray’s squad for Saturday’s league match against Amed.

His absence leaves the Turkish club without a key attacking option while doctors monitor his response to treatment.
