Nigerian rappers, Falz and Vector jointly a brand new song title, ‘Mr. YAKUBU’ as a music socio-political tool to send message to the world on what transpired during the 2023 general elections in Nigeria.

VerseNews Nigeria reports that Falz in an interview with ‘Arise News’ said his inspiration behind the song was drawn from the events of what happened in the 2023 presidential election.

Falz stated that the election conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) lacks transparency and credibility which disappointed the expectations of many Nigerians.

“The song is an account of event as to what transpired in the last couple of months, the entire epistles with the election and everything that has taken place. If you listen to the record and follow the story from beginning to the end even if you were not present when all these things were happening you will be able to just by listening and watching the video have a brief summary of the events as have transpired, that’s what we were trrying to achieve from the record,” Falz said.

He noted that many people came out to vote during the election but the commission violated the rules and regulations as stipulated by the Electoral Act.

The singer further said the election was disappointing, heartbreaking and frustrating as INEC’s Chairman. Professor Mahmood Yakubu couldn’t fulfill his promises to many Nigerians that came out to vote during the election.

Many Nigerians came out to vote and it was very sad for people to see that everyone was subjected to torture, tolling with our feelings, future and this is not joke,” he added

In conclusion Falz condemned the declaration of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as winner of the election despite citing the election violence and intimidation that too place across the country.

In the video, this Online News Media understands that Falz questions INEC Chairman’s judgement on the concluded 2023 election.
