Nigerian music executive Samklef has shared an update on the crowdfunding campaign for Mohbad’s 5-month-old son, following the artist’s passing on September 12, 2023.
VerseNews reports that the campaign aims to support Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi, and their infant son.
As of September 18th, 2023, generous Nigerians had already raised over 15 million naira for the cause.
However, on September 19th, Samklef announced on Twitter that the total amount raised had exceeded expectations, reaching an impressive N32,744,900.
He expressed gratitude to all contributors and also mentioned the deputy governor of Lagos state, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, paying his respects to Mohbad.
