In a move that is set to reshape the landscape of the reality TV show, “Big Brother Naija All Stars” organizers have officially announced the elimination of the jury system for eviction decisions.

VerseNews gathered that the decision comes as a response to the viewers preferences and the need for a more transparent and democratic eviction process.

VerseNews also learnt that the jury system was introduced this year and has been a defining feature of the “All Stars” edition, with a panel of judges or former housemates wielding the power to determine the fate of contestants.

However, the recent seasons of “Big Brother Naija All Stars” have witnessed a surge in viewer engagement, sparking conversations around the fairness and accuracy of the jury’s decisions.

The tipping point seems to have been reached with the most recent evictions where housemates who didn’t get the lowest votes were evicted due to the jury’s decision. This drew backlash from the show’s supporters.

Some of the jury members were Mike, Saskay, Bisola, Dorathy, Elozonam and Vee. They were all once contestants in the big brother show.

Fans took to social media platforms to express their frustration and disappointment, questioning the validity of the jury’s choices and even alleging potential biases.

In light of these concerns, the show’s organizers have taken a bold step by dismantling the jury system and opting for a more inclusive and participatory eviction process.

The new eviction process will be rooted in a combination of viewer votes and housemate interactions. Viewers will have the opportunity to cast their votes for the contestants they want to see stay in the competition. This move is expected to create a stronger connection between the audience and the show, as well as provide a more accurate representation of the public’s favorite housemates.

The jury, who have been a part of evictions since the beginning of the All Stars season, has so far made decisions that led to the evictions of Princess, Uriel and Kiddwaya.

From this week onward, voting power lies solely in the hands of viewers, and housemates who have the least amount of votes will face possible eviction.
