The jury-style of eviction on the Big Brother Naija reality show, “All Stars” edition, has drawn criticism from viewers who claim that it does not accurately represent their preferences.
The viewers called out the organisers on X, (formerly Twitter) and demanded an explanation for why the voting method was not used in the “All Stars” episode.
TeeTaiwo_94 said, “#BBNaijaAllStars, I think our votes are not needed anymore as it doesn’t count nor save our fave. Please put an end to that jury idea of yours else nobody go dey vote again. I cannot imagine me taking my time and resources to vote and it won’t count. It’s annoying oo
Osabennie said, “The jury option is bad. It was clearly shown that sentiment has been on display. Let the Viewers be the Ultimate jury!.
“Seyi being in the bottom 3 for the second time should at least mean something. Otherwise this jury thing ain’t working! The viewers should be the ultimate jury, estherbabirye1 added.
ije_peace added that, “Big Brother, stop this jury method. Our votes as viewers & fans must count. Without us d show is nothing. You can’t tell us 2 vote & our vote won’t count This is the same problem Nigeria is facing now .#INEC. Or are you also telling us to go to court?”
Kutlwanoletshol said, “Please stop this jury thing… What’s the use of voting if you gonna have your people decide… Then why don’t u let only ex BBN house mates vote and leave the public out of it because the jury decision is what u want… Boring please and it’s not funny.”
VerseNews reported that Uriel had earlier told Big Brother during her diary session that she was not ready to be evicted as she would reject the eviction.
In her words, she said, “I pray it’s not me because you’ll be needing 25 ninjas to carry me out.
“I will not go. I’ll be the first housemate in BBN history to reject eviction. Not my portion.”
