Nigerian music star Davido, on ‘Business Untitled’ podcast, disclosed his family’s ownership of four power plants, crucial for Nigeria’s electricity distribution.

The revelation highlights Davido’s family’s diverse business interests beyond entertainment, showcasing their significant contribution to Nigeria’s infrastructure.

In a recent revelation that has stirred considerable interest, Nigerian music sensation David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has disclosed his family’s pivotal role in electricity distribution across significant regions of Nigeria.

VerseNews gathered that the acclaimed artist disclosed during an appearance on the prominent American podcast, ‘Business Untitled,’ shedding light on his family’s expansive business portfolio and personal investments.

Davido disclosed that his family holds ownership of four substantial power plants, whose operations have been instrumental in meeting a significant portion of Nigeria’s energy demands.

He said, “I once tried to go into cryptocurrency because Nigeria is big on crypto. Apart from that, me and my family have like four power plants worth a lot of money. We distribute energy to most of Nigeria.

“My wife is into culinary. We are trying to start a restaurant for her. But my main business is what I love; my music.”

While Davido is from a wealthy family with investments in the energy sector, many observers might disagree with his claim that his family supplies most of Nigeria’s energy needs.
