Fashion designer and content creator, Veekee James, has responded strongly to an online troll who questioned why her husband accompanies her to almost every public event.
The criticism came after the couple attended the star-studded wedding of popular TikTok creators, Peller and Jarvis. An X user identified as Lauren asked why Veekee’s husband was always by her side, suggesting he had no life of his own.
The troll wrote:
“Does this man have a life of his own? Must he follow you everywhere?? Did you see your friend’s husband there? You don turn am to handbag?”
Reacting to the comment, Veekee made it clear that she has no problem appearing in public with her husband, stressing that they intentionally choose to do life together.
According to her, they see themselves as inseparable, adding that while others are free to handle their marriages differently, she has no plans to keep her husband away from her.
Responding to the troll, Veekee said:
“Yes my husband does not have a life of his own. His life is my life. My life is his life. He is me and I am Him. Together we are like what? Padlock and key.
“When you marry your own, separate him. Remove him from your life and keep him somewhere else. But you see this my own? He is me and I am him. You will see me and him everywhere.”
Her response has since gone viral on social media, with many users praising the couple’s close bond, while others continued to debate whether spouses should attend every event together.
