Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, is currently having a reception with members of the country’s female senior football team, the Super Falcons, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

This comes a week after the fallout of the Super Falcons from the ongoing 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

VerseNews had earlier reported that the Super Falcons failed to qualify for the quarter finals of the tournament after losing 4-2 on penalties to the Lionesses of England.

This news website also reported that the First Lady commended the efforts of the Super Falcons for advancing to the knockout stage of the tournament since their debut in 1991.

Recall that the First Lady also hosted the Nigeria female basketball team, D’Tigresses, last Monday after winning the FIBA AfroBasket championship.
