Nigeria’s superstar singer, Davido during his performance the Afronation festival paid tribute to his colleague in the industry, Ayo Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid and his recently deceased mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun.

Davido also reflected on the impact of Wizkid and his mother on him and others in the industry during the festival.

The emotional tribute served was a touching moment of support and remembrance for Wizkid and his family.

Mrs. Balogun’s death, which occurred on Friday, had left the music industry in mourning.

During his tribute, Davido extended his condolences to Wizkid and reflected on the significant influence Wizkid’s mother had on him and many others.

He emphasized that Wizkid’s contributions not only helped shaped the music landscape, inspired many artistes to excel in the competitive industry.

Also, Davido shared his own experiences of loss, recalling the passing of his mother many years ago while expressing assurance that Wizkid’s mother is proud of her son’s success.
