Mentally Ill Man Beaten To Death After Killing 9 Villagers

A mentally ill man named Ali Denham went on a killing spree, tragically taking the lives of at least nine people in Libbo Ward, Kate-Gamji village, Sheleng Local Government Area, Adamawa State.

VerseNews gathered that Denham used a knife to stab his victims, including an elderly woman and a man.

Following the incident, some angry youths in the village surrounded the man, disarmed him and beat him to death.

“Ali Denham, a mentally-ill man killed nine villagers and was also killed by the angry youth of the community. This happened on Wednesday at Sheleng community,” a source said.

The remains of the deceased victims were buried, and it was reported that Denham’s family members had fled the community.

As of the time of the report, the Adamawa Police Public Relations Officer had not responded to calls from journalists.
