Microblogging site X (formerly known as Twitter) developed technical issues and is currently down for it’s users globally.

VerseNews gathered that the technical snag happened around 11 am on Thursday morning.

Both the website and the mobile application showed ‘Welcome to your timeline’ instead of the regular tweets on the feed.

It seems the platform faced a massive outage and was inaccessible for users.

The issue is currently trending with the hash tag #TwitterDown. At the moment users can create post and tweet but content is invisible to anyone.

According to Downdetector, there are over 70,000 reports of not being able to use the platform. And, at this moment, there is no information on what has caused this issue.

This is not the first time that X is facing an outage. The Elon Musk-owned platform has faced downtime in March and July this year.

In July, Downdetector reported that X was down over 13,000 times in the US and the UK. Users shared that they say the message, “Sorry, you are rate limited. Please wait a few moments then try again.”

Similarly, on March 6, the platform went down for a few hours. Several users complained that they were unable to use it normally or experienced problems while trying to access links, images, and videos.

Thousands were affected by this outage, and many people in some regions reported the website was slower than usual.
