A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Kalu Kalu, has challenged President Bola Tinubu to publicly disclose the primary and secondary schools he attended, following the publication of the personal particulars and credentials of presidential candidates for the 2027 general election.

Kalu made the remarks on Monday while appearing as a guest on Channels Television’s Politics Today, where he questioned the educational information submitted by the President to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

His comments come after INEC published the credentials and personal particulars of the 19 presidential candidates contesting the 2027 presidential election.

According to Kalu, Tinubu did not list his primary and secondary school qualifications in the educational details section of the documents submitted to the electoral commission.

“Come and tell Nigerians which primary and secondary schools you attended,” Kalu said during the interview.

The ADC chieftain also revisited controversies surrounding Tinubu’s previous educational records, alleging inconsistencies in documents submitted during the 2023 election cycle.

“Even in 2022, in the INEC document he submitted, he claimed he had a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate.

“And the name on that certificate was Bola Adekunle Tinubu. So where did he get ‘Adekunle’ from? He claimed he graduated, but the certificate was forged,” Kalu alleged.

The remarks have added to renewed political debates over the educational credentials of presidential candidates following INEC’s publication of their personal particulars ahead of the commencement of campaigns for the 2027 general election.
