After a closed-door meeting, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), expressed confidence on Wednesday that the Anambra chapter of the party possesses all the necessary requirements to unseat Governor Chukwuma Soludo and emerge victorious in the upcoming governorship, state, and National Assemblies elections.

VerseNews reports that Ganduje revealed that President Bola Tinubu has approved a viable blueprint for the ruling party to politically “liberate” the people of the region.

Ganduje made these remarks shortly after the closed-door meeting with Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa, Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State, Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau, and two former Anambra governorship candidates, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah and Uche Ekwunife at the party national headquarters in Abuja.

Before defecting to the APC, Ubah was the governorship candidate of the Young Progressive Party (YPP), while Ekwunife was his opponent from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra.

Also present in the delegation was Andy Uba, a former Anambra South Senator and a prominent member of the party.

Ganduje declared, “The caliber of people here today from Anambra, and not just from Anambra State but the South-East geopolitical zone, has brought me great joy. I am delighted that they are here under the banner of the APC. I want to inform you that Mr. President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has endorsed our blueprint for the political liberation of the South East for the APC. He has sanctioned the political emancipation, intervention, and de-marginalization of the South-East.”

“Speak with one voice because a united voice is a louder voice. We need you to be united,” he added.

“So you can see that Anambra APC will win next governorship, National Assembly, State Assembly and other grassroots elections. What we are simply telling you is that the South-East zone is coming into the national politics and the region will be dominated by the APC. That is why they are here today.”

Uzodimma echoed his optimism, emphasizing the importance of using the APC as a vehicle to propel the zone into national politics.

“Arising from the statement of the National Chairman of our great party which is consistent to our desire as a political party to dominate. It is important that APC as a political party becomes the vehicle for the South-East region to be fully integrated into the national project, that is the Nigerian project.

“So we are determined in our region to be part and parcel of the Nigerian politics. Consistent with that, we are going to do our best to ensure the five states in the South-eastern region are dominated by APC by endearing our party to the people,” he stated.
