Tiwa Savage Joins Nollywood, Unveil First Movie

Renowned singer Tiwa Savage has ventured into the film industry, stepping in as both an actress and producer.

VerseNews learnt Savage revealed that her debut movie, ‘Water and Garri,’ in which she takes the lead role, is slated for release later this year.

The film will be accessible on the streaming platform Prime Video and will reach audiences across more than 240 countries and territories globally.

Sharing the news through her social media platform on Wednesday, Savage expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “Guys, I’m so excited to announce that my first feature film #WaterAndGarri will be released this year through @primevideo and shown in over 240 countries and territories worldwide!

“This has been over two years in the making and I must say this is probably one of the most adventurous, fulfilling things I’ve done. I feel blessed and honoured to not only be making my debut as a lead actor but to have also executively produced this film.
